I was introduced to your blog by Stacey Brennan on youtube and she is totally right your talent IS amazing. Your designs are a work of art and very pleasing to look at. I look forward to seeing more looks from you. <3 Karla
I loooooovvvve your blog…….I have never did makeup before, but you inspired me to do so… your looks are so pretty, have you thought about doing tutorials I would love to watch… Thank you for your blog…. <3
Thank you, Carlisa! I’m so happy that my blog inspire you!! You should definitely start playing with makeup, it’s so much fun! I’m going to start making tutorials when I’ve saved up enough for a video camera. Thank you so much for the suport! <3
Hello darling! I just wanted to tell you that you are such a cutie-pie and AMAZINGLY talented!!!!!
I am a 27 year old single mom from California and like you, make-up is my passion. When I read that you were scared to start your wonderful blog I thought, “I’m so glad she overcame her fear, beecause she is so talented!” Youre looks are so awesome! You have inspired me to maybe start a little blog of my own! Keep fallowing your dreams and I will too! -Lin
Thank you for your sweet words, Lin! They mean a lot!! I was scared to start blogging because I didn’t know if anyone would like my colorful, glittery makeup ^^ Now, I’m so glad I did, especially when I get comments like this! I’m just so happy that I can be able to inspire people! I really hope you start your own blog, because it’s a lot of fun and you get to spend much more time on your hobby and passion. Let me know if you decide to start a blog, because I would love to see it! <3 -Cecilie
Hey Cecilie!
I beg you to tell me if you know where I could find the Pen N’ Pink MAC eyeshadow that Marlena used at her look “Berry Mojito” . It is a discontinued item but I want it SO FREAKING MUCH!!
PLZ !!!
You are an amazing makeup artist! You are so beautiful!
How on earth do you get such clear photos of your eye makeup?
Everything I do with my camera makes it blurry and icky.
Hi Panda! Thanks you so much! <3 My secret hehe: I use an Iphone 4 camera and take pictures with my right hand while I hold up a mirror with my left, to see the picture I'm taking. I look up into a lamp and rest my right hand on a cushion or something to try and get a clear photo! Also, I take at least 300 pictures (I know, it takes sooo long to pick out the right ones), and choose those that are the least blurry. I hope this helped! ^^
Cecilie
I think your makeup is so beautiful. You’re my inspiration. I just want to know how you make such precise lines and wing tips with the eyeshadow colors? I would love to practice this skill so that I can have my make up look as beautiful as yours. And your colors are so vibrant!
Much love to you. Thanks for sharing your creative gift with us!
Awww, thank you! That means a lot to me! <3 I often use a piece of tape at the outer corner of my eye to make a sharp line there. To make sharp lines with my eyeshadows, I use a liner brush or a small angled one, and try to be as precise as possible! If I mess up a bit, I'll use a q-tip with makeup remover to fix it. Also, I never stress, but take my time with it. I hope this helped, sweetie!
I’m gonna work hard to become great like you. It’s a long shot but here’s hoping lol do you have a youtube page? your tutorials would be my whole life!
Aww, work hard and you’ll always get where you want! I’m going to make tutorials when I can get a video camera! I hope that is soon! ^^
omg you have so stunning eyes i like to do leapord eyes a whole wack of diffrent creations and im only 11 years old i do a great job you do a really great job
I found your blog through the Sugarpill facebook page and I have to say that I absolutely LOVE what you do! I admit there are some looks I won’t do because I think they are a bit to bright and/or bold for me, but those looks remains a great source of inspiration!
So thank you for sharing your ideas and talent!
Hey GlittergirlC my name is Elise, and I’m a HUGE fan of yours. I think your work is completely amazing. I just wish I had the same skills you do.. I was just wondering, where do you buy your loose glitter? I keep trying to find some but I can’t. :/
Hi Cecilie!
I first saw your looks at the MakeupGeek website! You are very talented and have amazing makeup looks! I’m just now starting to learn more about makeup and it’s always great to have someone to get ideas from.
You are doing such a great job!
Thank you.
Yo Cecilie! I’m quite new to your blog (found it recently through one of my friends). I must say that I love your looks, especially those with purple or coral colours! Your tutorials are very good too. One thing I was wondering though, because I couldn’t find any of it here, is what kind of pencils and brushes are you using when you’re making your looks? What – brush – and – for – what – kind of stuff. I’d love to know what tools you’re using apart from the actual make-up ^_^
I’m so happy you like my blog! Thank you! The reason why I haven’t said anything specific about what brushes I use, is because I use brushes from a Norwegian brand. I sometimes say what type of brushes I use in my tutorials, but I’ll definitely try to be more specific about the brushes in my future tutorials! Thank you so much for the tips! I always need to improve my blog
I just got a bunch of makeup geek shadows and I’ve been very excited to try some of your looks! I loooove the glamorous one, all beautiful warm browns and golds
Your work is way beyond just applying makeup, you’re a real artist! Thank you for sharing all your pieces!
Claire
Oh wow! Thank you so much for that wonderful compliment!!! The Makeup Geek colors are fantastic! I’m so happy you want to try out some of my looks! <3 I would love to see a picture of it!
My camera doesn’t take great pictures.. but I love how they are turning out! Ohhh, just saw your comment about doing tutorials in the future, that’s definitely something to look forward to!
Okay, but I’m glad you like the results! ^-^ Aww, that so great to hear!
Hi! Love, love your work, it is amazing. Definitely you inspire me to continue to love what I do also. I am a stylist/make/up artist in RI.
I usually don’t apply eyeliner in the inner side of the lower lids but what brand would you recommend for black and the white that you use?
Thank you very much!! I use NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk as a white eyeliner, cuz it’s super pigmented. I set it with a white eyeshadow, to make it last longer. The black I use, is MAC fluidline in Blacktrack or NYX Jumbo eyepencil in Black Bean.
Hi from all the way in England! I just found your blog through Sugarpill’s Facebook page and instantly subscribed! Your makeup is beautiful How do you edit your pictures? Mine just come out blurry and unclear
T
Thank you so much, Teresa! It’s really important to make them as sharp as possible when you take them. The only editing I do, is to sharpen and brighten them on picasa (It’s a free program by google) I hope this helped some
Thank you!:D The Nouba palette I won in a contest, but I think you can find it at the drugstore ;P And the no logo products, I bought at a Norwegian store, so I don’t know where else they sell it :/ I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful! <3
Hello,
I am Alyssa, i wanted to ask a question for an assignment i’m doing for school. We are doing current events research papers and my topic is Beauty/Makeup controversy such as using Illegal Chemicals, Animal Testing, Makeup lines named after cities known for Drug Wars, Ect. I would like to know your thoughts on Makeup Controversys, and Maybe some other stories that you have heard or expierenced. I would really appreciate it if you replied, i need a live source for this assignment. Thanks
Hi Alyssa ^-^
I must say you picked a very good topic!
I haven’t experianced anything negative myself, luckily.
The only thing I know is that a lot of makeup artists don’t want to buy makeup that has been tested on animals.
The makeup buyers in general, now want to only buy cruel free and vegan makeup, so I’ve seen more and more companies focusing on this.
I also check out if the makeup is cruel free before I decide to buy it.
I’m sorry I don’t have any more information for you, lovely. But maybe you can send an email to Cora ( http://vintageortacky.com/legal/contactratesbooking/ )? I know she is very passionate about this and has a lot more knowledge about it than I do
I just found your video tutorials and they are absolutely amazing!! I have been into Make-up since my teens and now that I am in my fifties, and have been with a make-up selling business for 12 years now, I have never seen anything like what you do!! I am soooo excited to try them out!! I may be older but what you do is so inspiring to us also!!! Thank you for your time and hard work!!! I look forward for your next video!! By the way, I live in California, U.S.A.
