Spring Leopard Nails!

Hi guys! ^-^ I know I haven’t posted as many looks as I usually do, these last two weeks, because I’m trying to focus on reading for my exams. I’m going to try to at least make one makeup look a week though! 😉 I haven’t worn makeup in two weeks, so my hands are itching for my colorful eyeshadows, lol 😛 I can’t wait for June to come… Then I’ll do lots and lots of looks! 😀 I just thought I’d let you know what’s going on. 🙂

Anyway, wearing pretty nail colors has gotten me through these “non- makeup weeks.” xD I’ve been obsessed with my Julie G nail polishes, as you might have noticed! I made this design on my sister last week, with the colors she liked the best, and I had to try it myself. I made a quick tutorial as well, which I hope you find helpful! ^-^

Products used:

  • Sally Hansen – Complete Care 4-in-1 nail treatment
  • Julie G – Gelato in Venice
  • Julie G – Bikini
  • Viva la Diva – Nr. 53, Black
  • Seche Vite – Dry fast top coat
  • Toothpicks

How to:

Apply a base coat and when that’s dry, one thick coat of “Gelato in Venice.”

Place some of “Bikini” onto a sheet of paper and pick some of the color up, with a toothpick. Create different sized and shaped dots, with that hot pink.

Now, put some black colored nail polish onto the paper. Pick a little bit up with a new toothpick. Carefully make some black strokes on each side of the pink dots and make them all in different sizes. Every leopard has an unique pattern, so the design doesn’t have to be geometrically perfect! In the end, place some small, random dots of black in between the pink dots. Wait at least an hour, before you apply a top coat. 🙂

This is a very easy design, which I think anyone can do! I’m right handed, so I know it would have been difficult to apply the black on my right hand. I always get my boyfriend to do this on that hand and I must say he does a great job, (otherwise, I wouldn’t have worn it out, lol 😉 ) So get someone else to do that for you, if you find it difficult! ^-^

I bought the JulieG nail polishes at jessesgirlcosmetics.com 🙂

I hope you liked this nail design!

Fun French! :D

Hi lovelies! ❤ On friday, I finally got my 6 JulieG nail polishes, that I’ve been super excited about trying! 😀 One my favorite beauty gurus on youtube, Julieg713, just launched her own nail polish line. After seeing the amazing colors she made, I had to get some of them! I bought them at www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com 🙂

I thought the two colors “Fierce & Fab” and “Dream in Pretty” looked very good together, so I made a colorful French manicure. I also added some rhinestones to the ring finger, to spice up the design! 😉

Products used:

  • Sally Hansen – Complete care 4-in-1 nail treatment
  • JulieG – Dream in Pretty nail polish
  • JulieG – Fierce and Fab nail polish
  • Seche Vite – Dry fast top coat
  • Rhinestones from ebay

In daylight, these two colors look pink, but in bathroom lighting they look lilac and purple. You can see the difference from the pictures above. When they look purple, I think they match my “Purple Love” look, that I did a couple of months ago. That’s just a tip to what kind of makeup you can wear with this nail design! ^-^

I can’t wait to show you the rest of the colors I got from this nail polish line. I’ve been wearing this since friday and it just started chipping today. Usually, the nail polishes I’ve had, have started chipping the next day, so these are fabulous! 😀

I hope you enjoyed the nail polish design!

Prom in Glitter!

Prom is that special day when you can dress up like a princess and of course, wear fabulous makeup! 😉 It’s a day where you deserve to sparkle a little extra, so glitter is definitely a must! 😀 This is a look I would wear for prom and I actually did a similar look on my sister, for her prom, last year. I hope this look will give you some inspiration on how you want your prom look to be! ^-^

I entered this look in Makeupbee’s “Sparkle for prom” competition, and if you like it, I would be super happy if you could vote for it, here! ❤ Thank you SO much! Let me know if you’ve entered a look to the competition too! 😀

Products used:

  • Lime Crime – Candy eyed eyeshadow helper
  • NYX – Jumbo eye pencil in Milk
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Tako
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Dollipop
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Poison Plum
  • Sugarpill – False eyelashes in Spark
  • Makeup Geek – Corrupt eyeshadow
  • Barry M – Eyeshadow trio (light silver)
  • NYX – Glitterati Glitter Cream Palette
  • NYX – Glitter on the go in Disco Ball
  • L’Oreal – Super Liner in Carbon Gloss
  • Maybelline – One by One mascara
  • Too Faced – Brow envy kit

How to:

Step 1: Apply a primer to your entire eye area. Place NYX Milk to your brow bone and the inner corner of your eye. Cut your crease with a small angled brush, slightly above your natural crease. Use a bright pink color, (Dollipop).

Step 2: Use the same color and blend it up towards your brow bone and underneath your eye.

Step 3: Take a dark purple (Poison Plum) and place it along your cut crease and lower lash line. Blend it in with the pink.

Step 4: Apply a tiny bit of a matte black eyeshadow (Corrupt) to your fake crease. Blend it upwards and connect it with your lower lash line as well.

Step 5: Then apply some more black to the same area and focus on the blending. I applied a little black at a time, to make sure that I didn’t use too much black, because that might have ruined the whole blending process!

Step 6: Apply a shimmery silver shadow to your lid, as a base color for the glitter. Then cover that with a silver NYX glitter cream or an other glitter base. Apply a silver glitter on top, by packing it on, to get the least amount of fallout! Line your upper lash line with a liquid liner and apply mascara.

All that’s left to do, is to apply white to your lower water line, with an eye pencil and apply some gorgeous false eyelashes! 😉

I hope this tutorial was helpful and that you liked the look!

Easter Chicken! :P

Easter is not quite over yet, right?! I’m taking advantage of that and posting an other yellow, colorful look! 😀 I made this over a week ago, but I was a little bit uncertain about the eyemakeup! But since I worked so hard, making these feathers, I thought I’d post it anyway! 😉 I’m actually happier with the end result than I thought I would be! 😀 I hope you like it! ❤

Products I used:

  • Lime Crime – Candy eyed eyeshadow helper
  • NYX – Jumbo eye pencil in Yellow
  • NYX – Jumbo eye pencil in Milk
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Tako
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Dollipop
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Buttercupcake
  • Sugarpill – Pressed eyeshadow in Flamepoint
  • TheNailDazzle – Glitter eyes in Lemone’
  • L’Oreal – Super Liner in Carbon Gloss
  • Maybelline – One by One mascara
  • False lashes and rhinestones from ebay
  • Feathers from a local store

How to:

Step 1: Cover your brows with NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Yellow. Set it with a yellow shadow (Buttercupcake).

Step 2: Make small feathers by cutting some large ones with scissors. Glue them to your eyebrows with eyelash glue. Then, cover the ends of the feathers with some yellow rhinestones.

Step 3: Cut your crease with a bright pink (Dollipop), and blend the color upwards. Blend in a bright orange (Flamepoint), in between the pink and the feathers. Apply a white highlight (Tako) to the inner corner of your eye.

Step 4: Apply the yellow eyeshadow to your lid as well, as a base color for the glitter. Then, cover this with a glitter base.

Step 5: Gently press a beautiful, light yellow glitter onto your lid. Connect the crease color with the lower lash line. Apply the pink first and then blend it out with the orange.

Step 6: Create a winged out liner, with a liquid eyeliner. That’s the easiest type of liner to use over glitter.

The final step is to apply white to your waterline, mascara to your lower lashes and some gorgeous falsies! 😉

I hope you had an amazing Easter! ❤

Here’s an other Easter inspired look! 😀 I’m using mostly TheNailDazzle and Sugarpill products, which I love! ❤ To use a little glitter on the eyebrows is of course a must! 😉 I hope you like it! ^-^

  • Lime Crime – Candy eyed eyeshadow helper
  • NYX – Jumbo eye pencil in Milk
  • NYX – Jumbo eye pencil in Yellow
  • The Nail Dazzle – Mineral Eyes in Aprodithe (lid: left)
  • The Nail Dazzle – Mineral Eyes in Immature (lid: middle)

11 Questions Tag! :)

I got tagged by Lisanne and Kassie to answer these fun questions! 😀 Since I was so lucky to get tagged by both of these lovely ladies, I decided to answer half of their questions. ^-^

The rules of the tag:

  1. Each tagged person must answer the 11 questions given to them by their “tagger” and post it on their blog.
  2. Then, choose 11 new people to tag and link them in your post.
  3. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
  4. Go to their page and tell them they’ve been tagged!
  5. Do not tag back to the person who has already tagged you.

My answers:

When did your love for beauty/nailpolish/pretty sparkly stuff begin?

I’ve always loved beautiful, sparkly things! When I was little (3 – 8 years old) I loved dressing up, wearing flowery dresses, red lipstick and matching nailpolish! As probably most girls, I wanted to be a princess! 😛 Okay, here I wanted to be a hula hula girl, haha! xD

If you could only use one monochromatic set of colors of eyeshadow what would it be? I.e. only shades of blue.

For everyday use, I would say corals and for more artsy makeup, blue! 😀

Do you prefer playing with eyeshadow, lipstick or nail polish?

As you’ve probably noticed, I prefer playing with eyeshadow, but I love to have fun with different nail designs and lip colors as well!

The most rewarding thing about blogging for you?

The most rewarding thing is definitely all the positive and sweet feedback I get from my readers! I just love reading all the comments, talk to people and get to know other beauty junkies, with the same interests as I! Also, blogging drives me to get better at what I love doing! And when I hear that I’ve inspired someone, I get beyond happy! I’m just very thankful to have my blog, with all these lovely readers! ❤

Do you prefer indie companies or cooperate companies to buy your makeup from?

I love indie companies, like Sugarpill, Makeup Geek and Lime Crime. These are the brands I use the most. They’ve got cheaper products than most cooperate companies and at the same time, their products are both more pigmented and beautiful! 😉

What’s your favourite movie or tv show?

My favorite tv show right now, is Once upon a time! 🙂 I like a lot of movies, especially romantic comedies! I saw “The change up” last week, which I thought was hilarious! 😀

If you had to listen to one genre of music for the rest of your life, what genre would you choose?

Probably hip hop, since I love dancing to that type of music! And I need to dance! ❤

Do the people around you get your love for make-up? How do they respond when they find you squeeling over something beauty related?

Yes, I feel like they do! Both my family and friends are interested in and supports me in what I do. Even my dad stares at what I’m doing when I create a crazy makeup look, haha! 😀 They also find it normal when I get very excited about something beauty related! 😉

What’s your biggest make-up fail from the past?

Not blending well enough! 😛

What’s the beauty product you just can’t live without?

NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk! It just brightens up every eyeshadow, you can use it as a primer and on your waterline! I use this in almost every single makeup look! 😀

Favorite band/muscician?

Not exactly hip hop hehe, but right now, it’s Marina and the diamonds. ^-^ I just discovered her about 2 weeks ago and now I’m hooked on “Primadonna Girl”, “Oh No” and “Shampain”. 😀

I’m tagging:

My 11 questions for you are:

  1. When did you get truly passionate about makeup?
  2. What’s your favorite eyeshadow, (color or name)?
  3. What do you love the most about blogging?
  4. Which beauty guru/-s or other people, inspire your work?
  5. What are your three favorite makeup brands, that you would recommend to others?
  6. Which country is the first one on your list, to visit?
  7. What’s your “go-to” beauty product?
  8. What’s your favorite color to wear on the lips?
  9. What other interests do you have, besides makeup?
  10. From the makeup looks you’ve created, what’s your personal favorite?
  11. If you were a Disney princess, who would you be?

I hope you enjoyed this tag and that all you amazing ladies that I’ve tagged, will have fun answering these questions! If you want to do this tag on your blog, leave me a link in the comments, so that I can read your answers! 😀
